Brief
Breaking Bad is one of my all-time favorite shows, and I recently re-watched the entire series during the last presidential election. Appalled with both candidates, I thought to myself, since we are now electing fictional characters to run our country, why not nominate a retired high school chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin? The similarities between politicians and drug lords are not all that different — they are both in the empire business and often cross the “ethical boundary line,” especially when their power is threatened or their agenda is disrupted. At first, Walter White means well and just wants to provide for his family when he is diagnosed with cancer. But he eventually gets caught up in the glory and power, often clouding his moral compass, like many of the current leaders of our country. And that is how the Walter White Campaign came to life. Vote Walter White!
